Sorry, I don't speak English 8.16.18

This week has literally flown by. I think i said that in my last email, but wow, it feels like the blink of an eye..
Today(and a little bit of yesterday) I went on a split with one of our APs in the mission, and it was a ton of fun. We were flying yesterday, just talking to everyone that we could, and then this morning we went over to the Kölner Dom, and climbed it. I have a picture of the aftermath, please excuse us if we are a little sweaty! haha!
So we have been having a lot of success in our area! Last week, we met a lot of really cool people, including a family of 8! They are so humble, and so ready to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives. We have a meeting today, and are trying to set 3 baptismal dates. Hopefully all goes well!
We've also met with a few other people in the last couple of days, and are really excited to continue to work with them.
This week, we met with one of our new converts in the ward, and he fed us some of the best food in the world. He is from Africa, and he cooked us the national dish of Liberia. It was fantastic, and I'm hopefully getting the recipe from him, I'm also counting on the washing machine taking out the stains I got on my shirt that night! Haha!
This week, I made it my goal to memorize a German scripture, and so everyday, I have been practicing remembering 3 Nephi 27:29, and I finally got it. I encourage y'all to continue to read your scriptures daily, and even attempt to memorize a scripture. I promise you that you will begin to look at scripture differently when you dig a little deeper and develop a more meaningful connection to them.
OK, so concerning the title of this email, I was walking down the street at the start of the other day ago, and I approached this one guy on the bench, and I started speaking German to him, and he looks up to me, and says, "sorry I dont speak english". Look, German is difficult, and it is pretty hard to speak, but I know for a fact that I was speaking the German language! haha! To say the least, German is hard, but I'm actually starting to get a hand hold on things. People sometimes, like in this case, can't really understand me because of my accent, but the Lord has blessed me in being able to remember and be able to speak the German language.
The Lord blesses us everyday, and we must always remember to thank him for all that he does for us. It is only through this process that we will continued to receive all of the blessings that God has in store for us.
Ich habe lieb für euch und ich wünsche euch eine schöne Woche!

P. S. I got a good kick out of seeing all of the pictures of me at the wedding!
