The One in Hagen 6.20.19

Hey, I don't know why, but the weekly emails have been messing up these past couple of weeks, and has only sent parts of my week out, so I'll be sending y'all a lot of pictures today!
The past couple of weeks have been good! Elder Stanojevic and I were on the grind in Kassel, and we're doing a ton, especially my last week there. We ended up going fishing(hence last weeks weekly email), had a ton of appointments, and ended it off by having a BBQ on Saturday. It was a ton of fun, and then we got the call! The APs(assistants to the person in charge of us in Germany) called and told me that I was transferring cities, and moving to Hagen!
I am really excited to be here, and so far it looks like it is a really nice city. I'm really excited to meet the churchgroup this Sunday. I've heard that they are an awesome ward!
I just want to tell y'all though, that I love yall, Jesus and God love y'all, and life is good! The gospel of Jesus Christ sets us free, and helps us to be able to really progress in life, so that we can become more like Christ. I know that Christ is the perfect example of what we should strive for, and I know that He lived and died so that we can return to live again with our Heavenly Father.
I hope y'all have a good week, and Ill keep y'all in my prayers!

The one with the Broken Finger 7.4.19

It was a good week, and to end it off, we celebrated fourth of July with my companion breaking(/dislocating?) his finger. I'm chilling in the emergency room now, but we have some cool pictures!
Also, I wanted to share a quick scripture with y'all!

Exodus 15:
26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.

While it may sound like the Lord is threatening the people here, He is actually telling them how they can seek protection from the things of the World. He is the one we can go to in order to escape having to be sick and afflicted. He is always willing to heal us, and will always stand there with open arms. We are His folk, we are His lambs/sheep, and He loves us.
I'm also going to put up a really cool painting I found of Jesus, and I have it as my lockscreen now!

Weekly 6.6.19

Last week's email:
This week has been good. We are still on the grind and loving it! I won't write a huge group email today, but I want y'all to know that I love y'all, and that I am so grateful for the beautiful plan that God has for me. God has made it completely possible for us to return to live with him, but not only that, he wants us to have joy along the way. There's a hope for all of us, and there is always more in life than what you have right now. Enjoy the time we have on this earth and make it count!

I come from Nigeria 5.23.19

Hey hey hey! This week has been wild! I don't have too much time to write, but you'll just have to trust me!
I do have a few pictures of one of our friends, Samson, he recently moved from Nigeria to Germany, and we had a good time talking with him on the street. To say the least, I'm one of his brothers!

There's also a picture of me in a tree with a friend of ours!

Love y'all, have a great week!

Donnerstag Email 5.9.19

This week has been awesome! We had a pretty exciting week, and Tuesday made it all the better!
On Tuesday we had district council, and while we were having district council, one of the friends of the church that the sisters are teaching, who will also be getting baptized this Saturday, came in, and he watched our district council for a minute. After the council, I got to talk a lot with him about his preparation for baptism, and his story was wild! He went from not believing on God, partying, and smoking to being a willing follower of Christ in keeping His commandments all within the time span of 1 and a half years. He had his first experience with God a year in a half ago, when he just knew that God was there and that He loved him, and he prayed to God shortly thereafter asking God if God would send him other believers, and 2 days later he met the sisters. The rest is history!
While we were talking, I felt the spirit so strongly as he testified of what he had learned and how he had grown as a person, and I knew that he was ready to follow Jesus Christ into the waters of baptism. I know that his decision to follow the commandments of God, and his willingness to follow the example of Jesus Christ, will bless him throughout this life and the next. This gospel is REAL! and I know of its truthfulness, not only by my own understanding, but through voice of the Lord through the Holy Ghost.
I hope y'all had a great week, and that you enjoy the pictures!

Liebe Grüße

Weekly 4.18.19

Not really much happened this week! We had splits with the zone leaders, and overnighted at their place the last two nights, and then went to a mission conference with Elder Uchtdorf there. That was really cool, and Elder Uchtdorf is really amazing. I know that he is an Apostle of the Lord, and the things that he spoke of were specifically to help the building of the church here in Germany. It was a really good experience, and one of the things that we talked about in this conference, was how if members studied more out of Preach My Gospel, the missionary work would progress a ton. Preach My Gospel lays the foundations of our beliefs out very clearly, and it helps us build our testimonies, and share them with others. I invite you to study the lessons in chapter 3 of Preach My Gospel, and I know that you will become a better equipped servant of the Lord as you do that.
I hope y'all had a great week! Send me an email if you are ever bored, and I'll try to get back to you!
Love y'all

Wöchentliche Email 4.11.19

Hey Family and Friends,
We havent really done much this week, but at the same time we have been so busy! General Conference was a lot of fun, and there were so many good talks given! My personal favorite talk was given by Elder Gary E. Stevenson in the priesthood session about how we need to make game plans for when we are tempted. He compared it to sports, and really made it easy to see how when we are prepared to face the challenges of today, with a plan in mind, we can almost always come out on top!
I invite yall to read through the talks of this past conference! I know that they will bless you when you do!
I hope yall have a good week, and sorry, I dont have any pictures this time around!

Gathering Israel 4.4.19

The past two weeks have been absolutely awesome! Last week, we got a call that I would be getting a brand new missionary, and that I would be introducing him to the mission field. I went to Frankfurt on Tuesday, and met up with a ton of other missionaries, and then was assigned to my new companion. His name is Elder Stanojevic and he is from Berlin, and can speak perfect German, what a blessing that is!! Haha! We came back on Wednesday, and the miracles began! I wanted to share one miracle with y'all, and it has to do with a small Nigerian man named Israel.

We found Israel in the train, and he was looking at us like he knew us, so I turned to him and started talking to him. He talked with us for a minute, and then we noticed that he was feeling a little down. We told him that God loves him, and a few other small things. He seemed to feel a little better, but he needed to get out at the next stop. We were on our way to an appointment, but I got the feeling that we should get out with him. We did, and he took us back to his apartment.

I kid you not, this man was living in the poorest little place. There was an old run-down warehouse that he took us into, and we walked up 2 flights of stairs and then into this hallway where we turned right and he opened a door leading into a tiny room, about the size of a walk in closet( 8-10 feet long and about 3-5 feet wide). He had a bed in there with a shelf, and a few personal items, and that was all.

He had been living there for a while, and he actually opened up to us a little about his life story, and explained that he is illegal, and that he has actually previously been deported from Germany, and that he just doesn't know what to do. Now normally I wouldn't have sympathy for illegals, but you could just see how sad he was, and how he really doesn't know what to do.

We really hammered him with Jesus Christ, and tried to help him understand how much God and Jesus love him, and you could kinda see his soul lift up throughout our time. We gave him a blessing of comfort, and also even invited him to be baptized. He said that he would want to, but obviously he can't be illegal, so we will have to work on that! Haha! But now he knows, and maybe he will go back to Nigeria or something and join the church there, or things will work out for him here.

Afterwards we left and headed back home, and it was just such a humbling experience, I really appreciated that one.

Other than that, there wasn't anything too crazy. There were definitely small miracles, and other things, but that was the banger for the week! Haha!

I hope y'all are doing good back home, and thank you all for the birthday wishes! At my meetings on Thursday, my phone was constantly buzzing! Y'all are awesome!

Also, we went to a cool park/castle today, and Ill send some pictures with this email!

Liebe Grüße,

Month 11 3.21 & 28.19

Man have the last few weeks been out of this world! We have had some mad ups and some downs in the work, but overall, it's flourishing here in Kassel!

We met this awesome guy last week, and we thought he was just about to start arguing but he started spitting truth out there on the street, and he is so enthusiastic about it! He knows that there was an apostasy and that it even continues into today, and he knows that we are children of God. He called us up after reading through the Plan of Salvation pamphlet and told us that it all makes sense, and that he believed a good portion of that already! He's awesome!

As for the lady that we put on baptismal date my first week here, we have had to take a break from teaching her because of some circumstances, but she will one day come into the fold of Jesus. Thank you for y'alls prayers!

Other than that, we have just been "chugging along". Today we actually went to a castle with our district, and had a way good lunch, definitely the highlight of my week. I'll out some pictures in here.

I hope y'all had a great week! And have a good one to come! Love y'all!
