It's been a Minute! 你好 1.2.2020

Hey y'all,

I'm doing good. I'm serving in a place called Düsseldorf right now. It's awesome here. The past couple of weeks have been super busy, but they have been great. I'm really excited to spend the rest of my time on the mission here in Düsseldorf. 

Over the past couple of weeks, we have got to experience two awesome holidays, Christmas and New Years! Christmas in Germany is a little wierd. In Germany you have three days of Christmas: Christmas Eve, Christmas day, and the day after Christmas. During these days the work is way slow, but we got invited to members houses, and it was a blast. I ate sooo much good food, I thought I would die! Haha! A member even gave us some gifts, and that was a lot of fun opening something.

On New Years Eve, we had to be in the apartment early, but we ended up celebrating our own way by playing with cards and drinking Kräuter Tee. I slammed my companion in Magic the Gathering, and that was a great way to end 2019. 

I have some awesome goals that I am excited for this year, and 2020 is full with new challenges for me. I know that God will help me along as I follow through with these goals and rely on Him. I invite yall to aslo make goals for this coming year and to share them with God through prayer. He will help you reach your goals if you are open with Him!

I haven't written to y'all in forever! I'm still alive though! To give y'all a super quick update, I've been applying for college, going to the temple, cleaning our apartment, and preparing people for baptism! It's been stressful, but it's good!

We are working with a woman named Priscilla now, and she is so prepared to accept the gospel. We are talking about a date now, and she is praying about it. Since we met her 2 weeks ago, she has read half of the Book of Mormon, and she's loving it!

Ghost Chili Hot Sauce and Man Caves🌶️🔥 10.17.2019

These past couple of weeks have been pretty good, but they have just been flying by, its crazy. We have had a lot of appointments, and have been able to talk to a lot of really cool people, and hopefully that will keep going!

I was at a returning members house on Saturday, and they were talking about things they have eaten before, and I was talking about how I have eaten a few habanero chilli peppers on the mission, and they wanted me to try some of the hot stuff they had in the house. They had me try a bunch of different things that all lead up to the Ghost chili hot sauce. It was ok, but the habeneros are a lot hotter.

2 Temple Trips in 2 Days 9.26.2019

Hey hey hey!

This past week, we got to go to the Frankfurt Temple opening house with a few friends of the church, and that was awesome. We went back to back, and it was honestly such a blessing and we'll worth sitting in a car for a total of 10 ish hours! Haha! This week has been good. I ended up getting a new companion this transfer, and it's honestly been a breath of fresh air for me. My new companion is Elder McIntire, and he's from Orem, Utah. He has something like 11 siblings back home, and it's crazy, but he's a lot of fun!

Also, it's coming time again to listen to Christmas music and I'm way hyped on it. We've been listening to Christmas music for the past couple of days, and I'm getting a little trunky/home sick because of it! Haha!
