Mein Fuß! 9.27.18

Hallo jedermann! How is everybody today? I hope y'all are doing fantastic!
This week has been quite a blur, but it's also been a ton of fun! On Friday we had this little talent show at our church, and that was a lot of fun. We showed up pretty late and only saw one performance, but the kids did great. The ward kinda picked at us for being so late, but we all had a small little party afterwards, and it was a ton of fun.
On Sunday, I had one of the most tiring days of my life, I was trying so hard to stay awake in sacrament meeting, and even when we were teaching gospel principles, I was struggling, needless to say, I took a much needed nap after church, and that was awesome.
Today me and my comp haven't had too much time to do much, but I was able to do a little bit of shopping for my winter clothes today, and whew I'm going to have fun with that. Hopefully in the next few pdays I can buy everything that I need.
Oh with the title, I had this problem with a tendon in my foot back home, and it's starting to inflame a little now, but it's all good, we are getting it sorted out. Keep my tendon in y'alls prayers!
I'll try to do more excited stuff next week, so my email isnt quite so boring, but I love y'all and I hope you have a good week!
Bis nächstes Mal!

Mann ist was Mann isst 9.20.18

Hello everyone! I feel like so much happened this week, but I can't remember any of it! I guess I'll share a little story with you about this Junge(boy) I met on a train !
So we are getting on this Bahn the other day ago, and I was walking to find a seat, preferably next to someone I could talk to about the gospel, and I sat down next to this one guy in a 4 person booth across from him, with another booth across from us, with 3 people in it. I sat down and started reading from the Book of Mormon, when a boy with down syndrome(he was probably about 16 or 17) comes down and sits in the booth with the 3 people. He leans over to them, and he points over to me, and says(fairly loudly), "doesn't this guy look good today?" They all smiled and laughed as he continued talking about me, and we all started talking to him, and to each other about why I was wearing a suit. The three of them had to get off at a stop, and so I went over and sat with the boy, and we just talked a little, and I explained to him why I was wearing the suit, and talked a little about Jesus with him, and gave him a card with a picture of Jesus on it, and then had to get off of the train. I saw him a few days later and got to talk to him for a second, and that was a good time. Now there is a more details behind the story, but I think the important part is the meaning behind it.
I wasn't having the best day in the whole world prior to that. I felt a little troubled over the fact that we were seeing much success and maybe even a little sad that, but nonetheless, I was continuing to do the work, I was continuing to do the things I was supposed to be doing, and the Lord in turn, brought this boy to me, and while not much may come from it, it is a small Testament that the Lord is very watchful over us, and blesses us when we are obedient to Him and our callings.
Continue to serve in your callings, and do the things the Lord has asked of you, and the Lord will bless you.
Along with that, this week has been pretty fun! I went on a split with Elder Davis this week, and we had a blast, and afterwards, me and Elder Cameron found this awesome street sign that I thought I would share with y'all!
I hope you have a great week, sorry this one was so short!

The one with Elder Uchtdorf 9.13.18

Hey! So I have been having some difficulties with sending out group emails, but I think I have things situated now. I've been trying to send the groups through the comments of my old weeklies, but I guess it hasn't been working.
I'll send this weekly at the top, and if you really want to, you can see what has been going on for the last couple of weeks afterwards!

The One with Elder Uchtdorf:
Holy cow have I had a great week this past one! We have been so incredibly busy with who knows what anymore! Ive nearly forgotten all of what happened before Tuesday! Haha!
On Tuesday, we had a mission conference with Elder Uchtdorf! How amazing is that? All 190ish missionaries in my mission were there to listen to an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ talk to us about missionary work, and to top it all off, it was all in GERMAN! Elder Uchtdorf spoke the whole time in his native language to us. It was absolutely mind blowing, and overall just an amazing experience.
He walked into the church building, and all of the missionaries were set up to take a picture with him, and he walks in, and I could not stop smiling. He walked over to us big group of missionaries, and said "wow, what a beautiful group". I think the missionaries just laughed at it, but he just had such a spiritual influence around him.
He gave his talk to us afterwards, and surprisingly, I understood almost every word that he spoke. It was a miracle that I understood it all, and definitely through the Holy Ghost that I was able to do so. In his talk, he spoke a lot about how we need to be using the spirit, and also be using our imaginations, our creativity to bring others unto the gospel of Jesus Christ. I thought that that was an amazing invitation to us. The work of the Lord isn't meant to just be just cut and plain doctrine, or, in missionary work, a robotic movement. Missionary work, the work of the Lord, is supposed to embody the testimonies of those that have found the truth, it is supposed to embody the person of which has accepted Jesus Christ as their savior, it is supposed to encompass the person as a whole, and use their talents, their gifts from the Lord to further HIS work!
I invited you, as Elder Uchtdorf invited me, to use your imagination to advance the work of the Lord. Use your gifts to bless the lives of those around you. When we do this, the Lord will bless us, and I can testify of the truthfulness behind that.
Elder Uchtdorf shared many things with us, and I loved all of them, and strive everyday to incorporate these things into my life. Follow the words of the Prophets that God has given us in these latter days.
I hope you have a great week, and hopefully I can fit everything in here!

Hallo meine lieblings 8.23.18

This week is the last week of transfer 2, and that means that I am no longer being trained, and that I will more than likely get a new companion! Next week is going to be a wild time of change, and im looking forward to the new opportunities I will have to learn!

I say this every week, but time is flying by here! I'm loving Germany, and being able to meet so many different people.

This past week, I was able to do a lot! I went on a split with my district leader, and we had a blast. We went running down the Rhein River, and sat on the bank of the river and watched an amazing sunset(picture will be included), then the rest of the week has just been packed with appointments, meetings, and all kinds of random things.

Today we went to this really cool place called 3 corners, there are about a million and 3 of these in Europe, but we went to the border of Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and stood in the middle of them! It was really cool, and really weird to hear and read all the different languages everywhere. We went in a Dutch supermarket afterwards, and picked up some snacks for the ride home, and that made for a pretty great day!

Spiritual thought:
I'm going to try to start doing these more, and include y'all in my personal studies!

I was reading in 3 Nephi 13 the other day ago, and I read these scriptures..

A little bit of background:

Jesus is talking to Nephi and his other 11 disciples about their calling, to minister unto the people, and He is telling them not to worry about what they need.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, even so will he clothe you, if ye are not of little faith.
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 For your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient is the day unto the evil thereof.

There will be so many stressful things that we will encounter in life, there will be times when we need things in life, like food, water, and even shelter, and have no idea how we will find these necessities, but the Lord promises us that if we have faith in Him, and seek His kingdom, we will be provided for. Instead of worrying about the things of tomorrow, worry about how you can better align yourself with the will of the Lord, and become a more faithful servant, and I promise you that you will be provided for, and the stress you are going through, and will go through, will be lifted from you.

I love y'all, and pray for you everyday! I hope y'all have a fantastic week!

Idk, the week before the week before this one:
Hey, so this week has been another hectic week! And I don't have much time!
Me and my comp got transfered out of Köln(we shut it down) and now I'm serving in Speyer with Elder Cameron. We didn't do anything stupid(to my knowledge😉) to get it shut down, but there just isn't enough missionaries coming to the mission. I've been here for two days, so there isn't much to see, but I'll be sure to send more pictures next week!

Sorry, I don't speak English 8.16.18

This week has literally flown by. I think i said that in my last email, but wow, it feels like the blink of an eye..
Today(and a little bit of yesterday) I went on a split with one of our APs in the mission, and it was a ton of fun. We were flying yesterday, just talking to everyone that we could, and then this morning we went over to the Kölner Dom, and climbed it. I have a picture of the aftermath, please excuse us if we are a little sweaty! haha!
So we have been having a lot of success in our area! Last week, we met a lot of really cool people, including a family of 8! They are so humble, and so ready to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives. We have a meeting today, and are trying to set 3 baptismal dates. Hopefully all goes well!
We've also met with a few other people in the last couple of days, and are really excited to continue to work with them.
This week, we met with one of our new converts in the ward, and he fed us some of the best food in the world. He is from Africa, and he cooked us the national dish of Liberia. It was fantastic, and I'm hopefully getting the recipe from him, I'm also counting on the washing machine taking out the stains I got on my shirt that night! Haha!
This week, I made it my goal to memorize a German scripture, and so everyday, I have been practicing remembering 3 Nephi 27:29, and I finally got it. I encourage y'all to continue to read your scriptures daily, and even attempt to memorize a scripture. I promise you that you will begin to look at scripture differently when you dig a little deeper and develop a more meaningful connection to them.
OK, so concerning the title of this email, I was walking down the street at the start of the other day ago, and I approached this one guy on the bench, and I started speaking German to him, and he looks up to me, and says, "sorry I dont speak english". Look, German is difficult, and it is pretty hard to speak, but I know for a fact that I was speaking the German language! haha! To say the least, German is hard, but I'm actually starting to get a hand hold on things. People sometimes, like in this case, can't really understand me because of my accent, but the Lord has blessed me in being able to remember and be able to speak the German language.
The Lord blesses us everyday, and we must always remember to thank him for all that he does for us. It is only through this process that we will continued to receive all of the blessings that God has in store for us.
Ich habe lieb für euch und ich wünsche euch eine schöne Woche!

P. S. I got a good kick out of seeing all of the pictures of me at the wedding!

Neue Wohnung 8.9.18

Hey, so I don't really have much time to write anything, nor did I have time last week! Sorry about that, but last week was fun, we had a BBQ at the church with our district, and that consumed all of my day! These past two weeks have been crazy busy, but we've seen a lot of miracles/success.
I just want y'all to know that I think about y'all everyday.
Love y'all!

It's been a Minute! 你好 1.2.2020

Hey y'all, I'm doing good. I'm serving in a place called Düsseldorf right now. It's awesome here. The past couple of weeks...
